Replace GMail with Proton Mail

This is probably one of the best starting points in your digital sovereignty journey.

GMail is owned by Google, which used to have a slogan "Don't Be Evil.", but have seem to have done exactly the opposite.

They read your emails to train their AI, train their AI on your data, basically stole the entire internet without anyone's permission to make billions via Gemini while knocking out small blogs and business by harvesting all of their data.

Your emails being read by this company, and having your entire stack and life depending on it is not a good idea, and you will just simply feel cleaner using an email service that does not use your data for profit.

Enter Proton Mail. Based in Switzerland with great privacy laws, this company started as a GMail alternative to DeGoogle and take ownership of your privacy back in your email space. They have since expanded to VPNs, Drives, Password Managers and all of that. But for now, let's just stay on the email portion.

Basically, all you do it just create a Proton Mail account, then forward any incoming emails from GMail over to Proton Mail.

Now, the next process will take like a year, but basically just one by one go to all your accounts and switch your default email to the new Proton Mail email address you made.

I don't recommended deleting the GMail right away since you may need it for something you may not think of till later.

Basically just swap out GMail's bitch ass and feel the freedom with Proton Mail.
